Benyamin Franklin Manumpil

Benyamin Franklin Manumpil (Benny). He began his first vocal training under the tutelage of Pranawengrum Katamsi at the age of 8. His formal music training was attained from STT Music Course Jakarta in 1995 - 1996.

Upon graduation, he started coaching church choirs and in 1996 formed Impromptu Singers, one of the most prominent vocal groups in Jakarta. He also conducts some of Jakarta choirs, such as St. Peter Choir and Ursula Canisius Voice.

Acknowledgments of choirs under his guidance were when Impromptu Singers won First Prize at ITB Choir Festival in 2000 for Small Choir Category & Ursula Canisius Voice won the Gold Prize at ITB Choir Festival in 2004 for High School Category.

Recently Benny is the conductor and music director of Terra Voce Music Consort since 2005 which has just won silver diploma for open mixed choir at Asian voyage of song at Pattaya,Thailand 2007 and bring Terra Voce achieved 2nd Winner ITB Festival Choir for Mixed Chamber Category
